What is Reiki and What are the Benefits?
Reiki is a form of energy healing.
Reiki is a healing technique in which a practitioner is a conduit of universal energy and uses gentle hand movements and placement to clear the energy pathways and guide healthy energy throughout a person’s body. It restores the natural healthy, balanced energy to the body. Allows for deep release and relaxation of the body and mind and assists the body in releasing pain and trauma.
Reiki has SO many benefits.
Reiki has been scientifically proven to be effective in promoting overall wellness. Reiki provides an opportunity for your body and mind to work together towards restoring balance. It is a technique that can help the body go back to a natural state of repair, this assists our bodies to clear out toxins and supports the immune system. Because of its calming meditative effect it can improve sleep, over all focus, and relieve tension within the body. Reiki aids in removing energy blocks and expands spiritual growth and self understanding.

We currently offer 30 minute and 60 minute sessions with Sara for reiki. These can be add-ons to a massage with her or sessions on their own.

Reiki is not a one size fits all practice. It varies from client to client. If someone comes to me with energy blocks I recommend coming once a week until there is balance and flow and continue with as needed maintenance. Some clients just need clearing and balance and come in every few weeks.

Yes! If you want this in your sessions, this will need to be made clear. If you are wanting this work in you reiki session, please book a 60 minute session.

Trauma somatic work is a treatment focusing on the body and how emotions appear within the body. Our bodies hold and express deep stories and emotions. Traumatic events or unresolved emotional issues can become trapped inside our bodies causing us to become stuck, it can also be a cause of physical illness, depression and anxiety. Trauma somatics is a combination of different mind body techniques that allow us to release the stuck energy, let go of the past and live more fully and authentically. Some techniques that I use are Reiki, nervous system regulation, breath work, meditation, cranial sacral and sensation awareness work.
I believe that we are all connected whether it be magic or serendipity every crossing of paths is intentional and manifested. Offering healing to the community and all those who seek it contributes to my own healing and the healing of our world. When you give love it grows.
Whether through massage or Reiki my intention is to hold space for those on their personal journey of transformation. Along with other practices I perform Reiki on myself every morning as part of my morning ritual and receive Reiki and trauma somatics from my mentor regularly for spiritual growth and self care. It has been an essential part of my healing journey and continues to be. I also use Reiki as a treatment for my son’s ADHD. When I started learning Reiki I would practice with him. He loves it!! It has become part of our nightly routine and it has greatly improved his sleep, ability to focus, overall attention and also strengthened our connection as a family.
