Join Eddie for an exploration of the first half of Ashtanga's Second Series (Nadi Shodhana), often translated as "nerve cleansing."
While Primary Series focuses on grounding, building discipline, and opening the hips, Second Series asks us to step into a different energetic experience. Through deeper backbends, increased spinal mobility, and more demanding postures, practitioners begin to challenge and refine the nervous system while balancing strength and suppleness.
In this workshop, Eddie will break down the first half of Second Series, explore key transitions, and discuss the purpose behind the progression from Primary to Intermediate. Expect a physically challenging and mentally engaging practice designed to deepen your understanding of the Ashtanga method and your relationship to it.
What to Expect:
This workshop will include approximately 75 minutes of guided practice and 15 minutes of discussion and philosophy, where we'll explore the energetic purpose of Second Series and the intelligence behind the progression from Primary Series. Come prepared to move, learn, ask questions, and deepen your understanding of the practice.
Suitable for dedicated practitioners who are somewhat familiar and comfortable with the Primary Series and curious about what comes next.
Come to one or attend both—each workshop stands alone while offering a deeper perspective when experienced together. ✨🧘♂️
